Together in Faith and Learning

At the Catholic Independent Schools of the Nelson Diocese (CISND), we believe that parents are a child's first and most important teachers. The values, faith, and love nurtured at home provide the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth.

Our schools are proud to partner with families, supporting both the academic and faith formation of every student. Together with parents, parishes, and the wider Catholic community, we are committed to creating a Christ-centred environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and thrive.

School Councils

School Councils play an important role in supporting the mission and success of each CISND school. Made up of dedicated members of the local Catholic community, School Councils work collaboratively with school leadership to help foster strong, faith-filled learning environments for students and families.

Operating under the authority delegated by the Catholic Independent Schools of the Nelson Diocese (CISND), each School Council follows the responsibilities and objectives outlined in the CISND Policy Manual, helping ensure the effective governance and continued growth of our schools.

Parent Support Groups

Parent Support Groups are an important part of our school communities, bringing families together to support students, strengthen school spirit, and enhance the educational experience for everyone.

Through fundraising, volunteer opportunities, and community-building activities, Parent Support Groups help provide valuable resources, enrich school programs, and foster meaningful connections between families, staff, and the wider school community.

Every parent is encouraged to get involved. Whether you can volunteer regularly or lend a hand at a single event, your time, talents, and support make a lasting difference in the life of our schools.
