Grounded in faith and committed to student success, Stephanie Nagy will continue to place students at the heart of her work as she steps into the role of Vice-Principal at St. Joseph School in the fall.
CISND Superintendent Pamela Guilbault welcomed the appointment.
“Stephanie’s commitment to Catholic education and her dedication to supporting students, families, and staff make her a wonderful fit for the role of Vice-Principal at St. Joseph School,” she said. “We are blessed to have her continue serving the St. Joseph community in this new leadership role.”
Nagy said, “I look forward to leading with compassion and purpose, and to supporting students and staff as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually in Christ.”
Nagy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Community, Culture, and Global Studies from the University of British Columbia Okanagan, along with a Bachelor of Education. During her time at UBCO, she worked as a research assistant and served as a teaching assistant for courses including geography and Indigenous studies.
For the past six years, Nagy has been part of the St. Joseph School community, where she has focused on excellence in teaching and continuous professional growth.
“What I love most about Catholic education is the opportunity to nurture the whole child—academically, spiritually, and emotionally—in a vibrant community of faith that mirrors the Church,” she said.
“My hope is that the teachings of the Gospel, and everything students learn at St. Joseph, will guide and support them long after they leave our school. Most importantly, I want every student to know that St. Joseph is a place where they are known, supported, loved, and will always have a home.”
