Students of Immaculata Regional High School will once again be kicking the holiday season into high gear by hosting the annual Kelowna Christmas Turkey Drive in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank. They will be accepting the public’s turkey and monetary donations, with ALL monetary donations of any amount going directly towards the purchase of additional turkeys.
The recurring theme of Feed a Family… Feel the Joy clearly connects each donor with that great feeling of giving back to our community. “Knowing that ALL donations… (whether it is an actual turkey, cash, or a gift card) will enable a less fortunate family in our community to enjoy a beautiful Christmas meal, is something that every donor can feel really great about” adds Hare. “And for the seventh year now, Immaculata Regional High School most graciously and proudly continues to host this very important community event.”
“One of the primary goals of Immaculata Regional High School is to foster social awareness at Immaculata, one of our core goals is to foster social awareness and strengthen our students’ commitment to service,” says Bruno Oliveira, Acting Principal. “We are proud to support the Central Okanagan Food Bank during the Christmas season and to stand alongside our students as they help bring comfort and nourishment to families throughout our community.”
Immaculata students along with other community youth will be accepting donations on the morning of Friday, December 12th from 6:30am to 10:00am at Immaculata Regional High School at 1493 KLO Road.
