In 1953, St. Michael’s School in Trail formally opened its doors on the existing property. Prior to that, it was run as a Catholic kindergarten, operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace in the hall of St. Anthony's Parish. Today, the school enrolls approximately 135 students in grades K-7. 18 staff support students and their families from the community of Trail as well as the surrounding communities of Rossland, Fruitvale, and Castlegar. St. Michael's School welcomes families who are seeking a faith based education for their children.
